Education and healthcare professionals are now eligible for a 6% discount in Ikea stores, following a recent collaboration with savings platforms Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.
Previously, members could avail a 4% discount on the Ikea website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases as well. To benefit from the discount, shoppers must log into the relevant app and scan their code at the checkout.
Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in offering this Ikea discount to members, acknowledging the crucial roles played by teachers and healthcare workers in society. She emphasized the significance of recognizing their dedication through tangible benefits.
Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, noted that Ikea’s popularity among members made the exclusive saving both online and in-store a valuable addition. He highlighted the partnership’s commitment to securing beneficial deals that support education and healthcare professionals across the UK.
In related news, Ikea has introduced a new click-and-collect fee for online shoppers retrieving items from its stores starting in September 2025. While a £2 charge applies to regular customers, members of the Family loyalty program can still enjoy free click-and-collect services.
Additionally, Ikea customers have the option to collect orders from designated Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, albeit with charges for orders below a certain threshold. Ikea Family members can access free click-and-collect services when spending over £100 at Tesco or self-serve lockers, or above £60 at DPD points. Click-and-collect fees range from £2 to £5.
