Football Manager 26 has rolled out its latest significant update, reintroducing a feature that many fans were disappointed to see removed initially. The game’s creators, Sports Interactive, have launched Update 26.1.3, which brings a variety of bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. Several contentious issues that players have been vocal about since the game’s release have now been addressed, including a popular tactic that has been toned down.

One of the standout additions in the new update that has delighted FM26 players is the reintroduction of pass maps, fulfilling a long-standing request from users since the game’s debut in November 2025. The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive to this update, particularly welcoming the inclusion of pass maps. A Reddit user, in response to the patch notes, expressed enthusiasm by stating, “We are so back.”

Fans have also expressed relief over the resolution of a persistent issue. Previously, a bug during matches would incorrectly display substitutes out of order, causing frustration for players who meticulously organized their substitutions by position.

Moreover, adjustments have been made to the transfer logic for Saudi Pro League clubs, addressing complaints that these clubs often made inadequate transfer offers. Another peculiar issue reportedly fixed in the latest patch is the premature notification of goals or Dugout events, which would sometimes spoil the surprise for users during gameplay.
