“Freeview Issues Important Update: Users Urged to Retune Now”

Freeview users are advised to check their settings and retune their devices promptly as a recent update has been rolled out by the popular UK TV platform. This update includes changes to the channel lineup and TV guide, with several broadcasters making adjustments this week. To ensure that channels and the TV guide remain up to date, a retune is necessary.

The update introduces four key changes. Firstly, three existing channels have been rebranded with new names, which will now be visible in the TV guide. That’s TV 3 (Channel 71) is now known as That’s 20th Century, offering music from past decades and iconic shows like Yes, Minister, In Sickness and in Health, and The Saint. Additionally, That’s TV 3 MCR (Channel 86) has been renamed That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR (Channel 93) is now simply That’s Classics.

In addition to the rebrands, a new channel called That’s Entertainment will launch on Channel 75. While specific program listings are not widely available yet, more details are expected to be revealed soon. Freeview states that such updates are part of ongoing changes as broadcasters regularly fine-tune their content offerings to keep them diverse and current.

Freeview users can expect to see these changes reflected in their TV planner. If the updates do not appear, a device retune is recommended. Users can follow these steps to retune their devices: press the menu button on the remote, navigate to settings or installation, enter the PIN if prompted (commonly 1234 or 0000), choose “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune,” confirm the deletion of existing channels, and allow the device to automatically search for and store the updated channels.

While Freeview updates occur throughout the year, this recent update is particularly significant, making it advisable for users to retune their devices promptly.
