Embark Studios is gearing up for the upcoming optional wipe in ARC Raiders with significant changes based on feedback from the previous event. Expeditions in ARC Raiders serve as a response to wipes, a feature in extraction-based shooters that levels the playing field by removing players’ most valuable items. While other games like Escape from Tarkov make wipes mandatory, Embark Studios opted to make Expeditions voluntary to cater to a broader range of players.

Despite having a substantial player base of over 242,000 daily users on Steam, statistics reveal that only 8% of Raiders participated in the December Expedition. One major reason for this low participation rate was the high entry requirement of reaching a stash value of 5 million Coins, leading many players to hoard their best gear instead of utilizing it before the Expedition.

In response to community feedback, Embark Studios has lowered the required stash value for the upcoming February wipe to 3 million credits, while still offering five Skill Points for reaching the maximum value. Players who took part in the previous Expedition but fell short of earning all rewards can now purchase missing skill points at a discounted rate of 300,000 Coins each, after acquiring all five Expedition 2 points at 600,000 Coins each.

Participating in an Expedition may result in inventory wipes, but the rewards make it worthwhile. Players receive permanent cosmetic items, stash space upgrades, and skill points for future gameplay. Additionally, consecutive Expeditions offer XP and supply material boosts to players.

The second Expedition in ARC Raiders will commence on March 1, 2026, with sign-ups starting on February 25. Players can expect a range of rewards for taking part in the Expedition, including permanent and consecutive bonuses.
