“Billionaire Sponsors Family Pilgrimage for ‘The Traitors’ Finalist”

Billionaire Umar Kamani, as reported, has extended an offer to sponsor a family pilgrimage for Faraaz Noor, a finalist of the show “The Traitors,” after his loss on the program. Faraaz had expressed his intention to take his family on a pilgrimage to Mecca if he emerged victorious in “The Traitors.”

Despite reaching the final round of the popular BBC show at the age of 22, Faraaz’s hopes were dashed when he fell victim to misplaced trust. Dependent on Rachel Duffy’s alliance, Faraaz agreed to support Rachel’s accomplice, Stephen Libby, but was ultimately betrayed by both parties.

Before his exit from the show without claiming the £95,000 prize, Faraaz outlined his plans for the winnings, emphasizing his desire to fulfill the religious obligation of Hajj, a pilgrimage to Mecca, a sacred city in Saudi Arabia. He expressed his wish to treat his family and fulfill his religious duties, highlighting the significance of Hajj in Islam.

Hajj, an annual pilgrimage to Mecca, is one of the five pillars of Islam and a mandatory religious duty for adult Muslims to undertake at least once in their lifetime. Faraaz expressed his gratitude towards his family and his desire to provide for them, expressing hope for future opportunities to fulfill his religious obligations.

Despite missing out on the prize money, Faraaz’s aspiration to take his family on a pilgrimage to Mecca received a lifeline. Umar Kamani, co-founder of Pretty Little Thing and a billionaire, pledged to cover the expenses for Faraaz and his family to embark on the journey to Hajj.

In a statement, Umar expressed his willingness to facilitate Faraaz’s pilgrimage, highlighting his generous gesture towards the Traitors star and his family. Umar’s net worth was reported at $1 billion (£797 million) as of May 2024 by The Sun, and his philanthropic offer reflects his commitment to supporting individuals in need.

Reflecting on his experience on the show, Faraaz expressed disappointment at his elimination but remained hopeful for future opportunities to fulfill his religious obligations. He shared his frustrations at being deceived on the show and emphasized his determination to overcome setbacks and pursue his goals.
