President Donald Trump has dispatched an additional warship to the Middle East following his recent caution to Iran about an impending ‘massive armada.’ The USS Delbert D Black guided missile destroyer is currently navigating the Red Sea, as confirmed by US Navy authorities. The deployment adds to the US presence in the region, which includes six destroyers, the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, and three littoral combat ships tailored for near-shore operations.
In a statement on Tuesday, President Trump conveyed a message to Iran about the imminent arrival of an “armada” of ships, surpassing the fleet sent to Venezuela during the Maduro regime. Making reference to previous targeted strikes on crucial nuclear facilities, he emphasized the necessity for Tehran to engage in negotiations for a nuclear weapons agreement, warning of severe consequences if they fail to comply.
Using his Truth Social platform, President Trump articulated: “A massive Armada is heading to Iran. It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose. It is a larger fleet, led by the great Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, than that sent to Venezuela. Like with Venezuela, it is ready, willing, and able to promptly execute its mission with speed and force, if required.”
He added: “Hopefully Iran will promptly ‘Come to the Table’ and negotiate a fair and equitable deal – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS – one that benefits all involved parties. Time is pressing, it is truly critical! As I warned Iran previously, MAKE A DEAL! They did not, and there was ‘Operation Midnight Hammer,’ a significant strike against Iran. The next assault will be even more severe! Let’s avoid a repeat of that scenario. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
In parallel developments, reports from Baghdad indicate that Iraqis are being summoned by Hezbollah to volunteer for potential combat alongside Iran in the event of a full-scale conflict with the US. Tehran has also issued a warning, asserting preparedness to retaliate against any American military response to suppress anti-government demonstrations.
