A horse named Frosty was rescued from a frozen creek in Cochin, Sask., where he was found in critical condition. Thanks to the efforts of locals and horse enthusiasts nationwide, Frosty has made a remarkable recovery and is adapting well to his new environment.

Initially discovered partially submerged in Lehman Creek by a concerned resident, Frosty was saved by the village mayor, Mark Pattinson, and his friend Ed Scott. Despite the dire situation upon rescue, Frosty displayed remarkable resilience and refused to succumb to his injuries.

Following the passing of his previous owner, Frosty required immediate medical attention. Despite facing initial reluctance from other horse owners, Leslie-Ann Smith, a local farmer, stepped in to provide the necessary care. While Frosty’s past as a relay horse was uncovered, Smith has no plans to reintroduce him to competitive racing. Instead, her focus remains on providing him with a loving and nurturing environment.
