Matriarch Sue Radford, mother of 22, has announced that her eldest daughter Sophie’s decade-long marriage to Joe Bradley has come to an end. In an exclusive interview with The Mirror ahead of the upcoming season of their reality show “22 Kids & Counting,” Sue revealed that Sophie and Joe are no longer together but are committed to co-parenting their three children.
Sue, 50, and her husband Noel, 51, are well-known for their large family, which includes children ranging from Chris, 36, to Heidie, 5. The upcoming episode of their show will delve into Sophie’s divorce, with Sue expressing pride in her daughter’s decision to open up about her emotions and current situation.
Although rumors circulated last May when Sophie referred to herself as ‘single’ on Instagram, it is only now that the family has publicly acknowledged the split. Sue and Noel, who sensed trouble brewing during a family trip to Orlando last April, are supportive of Sophie’s newfound happiness and are also considerate of Joe’s well-being.
Reflecting on their enduring marriage, Noel humorously quipped about Sue’s good fortune in having him by her side. While the family navigates this new chapter, Joe remains involved in the children’s lives, visiting regularly to lend a hand after work.
When asked about the possibility of Sophie finding love again, Noel expressed support for her future endeavors, emphasizing that she should take her time and focus on settling into her role as a single mother before considering a new relationship.
The Radford family’s reality show will return on February 1st, showcasing their daily lives and challenges as they navigate relationships, parenthood, and the joy of raising 22 children.
