“Excitement Builds for 2026 Randox Grand National at Aintree”

The lineup for the upcoming 2026 Randox Grand National at Aintree has been finalized with a full field of 34 horses confirmed for the prestigious race. The event, set to take place on Saturday and televised live by ITV, boasts a maximum field size of 34 entrants.

Leading the pack is I Am Maximus, owned by JP McManus and trained by Willie Mullins, the reigning champion of the 2024 race who secured a second-place finish last year. I Am Maximus will face tough competition from stablemate Nick Rockett, who secured a famous Mullins stable 1-2-3 finish in the previous edition of the race.

With the potential to secure his fourth Grand National victory, Mullins aims to etch his name alongside legendary trainers like Ginger McCain and Fred Rimell in the race’s history. Jockeys Paul Townend and amateur Patrick Mullins are set to ride I Am Maximus and Nick Rockett, respectively.

Noteworthy contenders also include Grangeclare West, Panic Attack trained by Dan Skelton, Iroko, and Jagwar, all part of the McManus-owned horses roster. Willie Mullins, with a strong contingent of nine horses, has declared all his entries for the race, including a surprise addition of Spillane’s Tower.

The highly anticipated event is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Horse enthusiasts can access a comprehensive 48-page guide to the race featuring interviews, statistics, and essential information for this iconic steeplechase event.
