Emma Raducanu Parts Ways with Coach Roig, Seeks Tenth Coach

British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has parted ways with coach Francisco Roig, making it her latest coaching change. This marks her search for the tenth coach of her professional career. Raducanu is now set to be guided by Alexis Canter at the upcoming Transylvania Open in Romania, after confirming the split with Roig just before the tournament.

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash commented on Raducanu’s coaching switch during the Australian Open men’s singles semi-finals broadcast. Cash noted Raducanu’s frequent changes in coaches, likening it to the turnover of managers at Premier League club Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has seen multiple managerial changes since Raducanu’s victory at the US Open in 2021. Raducanu has worked with various coaches, including Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Dmitry Tursunov, Mark Petchey, Nick Cavaday, Sebastian Sachs, Torben Beltz, and Vladimir Platenik.

Despite the coach transitions, Raducanu expressed gratitude towards Roig for their time together, highlighting the positive aspects of their relationship. Cash expressed curiosity about Raducanu’s future moves, emphasizing the importance of consistency in coaching for player development.

In a related update, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, now offering HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, in addition to comprehensive sports coverage, including the Premier League and EFL matches.
