“Conor McGregor Approves UFC’s White House Event Lineup”

Conor McGregor has expressed his approval of the UFC’s upcoming White House event, even though he won’t be participating in it.

Initially rumored to headline against Michael Chandler on June 14 at President Donald Trump’s residence, McGregor is now expected to fight the following month. UFC CEO Dana White unveiled the White House card, featuring Ilia Topuria defending his lightweight title against Justin Gaethje in the main bout.

In a surprising move, Alex Pereira will move up to the heavyweight division to challenge Ciryl Gane for the interim belt in the co-main event. McGregor, despite not being on the card, shared his enthusiasm by posting a photo of the lineup on social media, calling it “love it” and later describing it as “a great card.”

McGregor had previously mentioned his eagerness to return to the cage but was unsure of his next fight schedule. He revealed his anticipation for the White House event against Chandler and expressed understanding when informed of the potential delay, indicating that he is open to fighting during International Fight Week.

Furthermore, McGregor disclosed his intention to return at welterweight, emphasizing his readiness to face any opponent offered to him. Despite the uncertainties surrounding his next fight, McGregor remains optimistic and awaits potential offers as his manager engages in discussions with the UFC.
