Irish band Westlife was established in 1998 when Brian McFadden and Nicky Byrne joined forces with schoolmates Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily. Managed by Louis Walsh, the group rose to fame, selling over 55 million records worldwide with hits like Flying Without Wings and You Raise Me Up.

After a split in 2012, Westlife reunited in 2018 and is now celebrating its 25th anniversary with a UK tour. Although now a four-piece band, Brian left, and Mark is currently absent due to health issues.

Shane pursued a solo career post-Westlife, releasing successful albums and enduring financial challenges after his property development company faced bankruptcy. He credits his wife Gillian for support through tough times, including the loss of both his parents in 2020.

Mark, who also pursued a solo career, faced health challenges in 2020, battling sepsis and other complications, leading to a break from Westlife for recovery.

Kian, known for his musical talents, also ventured into television presenting and won the reality show I’m a Celebrity. He values privacy for his family and enjoys a settled life with his wife and children in Sligo.

Nicky, a former footballer, later delved into music and television hosting, experiencing personal tragedies like the sudden loss of his father. He now hosts a podcast and shares moments of family life with his wife and children.

Brian, who left Westlife in 2004, pursued a successful solo career and later formed the duo Boyzlife. His personal life saw ups and downs, including failed marriages and personal struggles.

Despite the challenges, each member of Westlife has navigated their individual paths post-band life, showcasing resilience and pursuing their passions beyond the group’s legacy.
