“Rory McIlroy Reveals Menu for Masters Champions Dinner”

The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, an esteemed event in the world of golf, is less than three weeks away. Rory McIlroy, the defending champion, has recently disclosed the menu for this prestigious gathering, which will feature his mother’s signature dish – Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese as one of the appetizers.

Last year, McIlroy secured his long-awaited Green Jacket by triumphing over Justin Rose in a thrilling playoff at Augusta National, completing his career Grand Slam. As part of his victory privileges, McIlroy will be hosting the iconic champions dinner next month, where Scottie Scheffler will adhere to his own predetermined guidelines.

McIlroy unveiled the dinner menu on Wednesday, offering a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon as the main course. This event, officially known as the Masters Club Dinner, is scheduled for the Tuesday of tournament week and is considered one of the most exclusive gatherings in the realm of sports, exclusively attended by Green Jacket winners.

Traditionally, the defending champion selects the menu for the evening. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler curated a menu consisting of three starters: cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a humorous nod to a past mishap involving ravioli preparation during Christmas in 2024.

The following courses included a Texas-style chili, a choice between wood-fired cowboy ribeye or blackened redfish as the main dish, and warm chocolate chip skillet cookies with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. Noteworthy past menus include Jon Rahm’s Spanish-inspired cuisine in 2024 and Hideki Matsuyama’s Japanese feast in 2022, receiving acclaim from the Masters champions.

Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, hosted the event in the past, opting for a straightforward fish and chips meal featuring cod from Grimsby, England. Reflecting on past dinners, Faldo humorously recalled Bubba Watson’s unconventional menu as one of the less favorable ones, involving items like Chuck E. Cheese and milkshakes.

Despite occasional quirky menus, Faldo emphasized the sentimental value of the event, describing it as a “special” evening filled with reminiscences and laughter shared among the esteemed champions. The camaraderie and banter among the attendees, including legendary figures like Jack Nicklaus, add to the unique and memorable atmosphere of the Masters Champions Dinner.
