“Nintendo Direct Reveals Exciting Game Lineup for 2026”

Nintendo recently hosted its first official Direct conference of 2026, featuring a plethora of game announcements from various third-party developers like Konami, Square Enix, and Bethesda.

The showcase began with a preview of the upcoming co-op game called “Orbitals,” designed for exclusive launch on Switch 2 this summer. Following this, the unveiling of the mysterious game “Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse” took place, offering pre-orders starting today and a release date of February 19, set in the coastal region of Ise-shima, Japan.

Another highlight was the introduction of the narrative-focused football game “Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters,” scheduled for a later release on Switch. Additionally, the action survival game “Tokyo Scramble,” featuring a character named Anne surviving a dinosaur invasion, will launch on February 11.

Exciting news included the announcement of “Valheim,” a Viking survival game coming to Switch 2 later in 2026, and the free upgrade of “Hollow Knight” for Switch 2 with enhanced visuals and performance. Moreover, Konami revealed “eFootball Kickoff” and “Super Bomberman Collection” for Switch 2.

Gamers can also look forward to the RPG “The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales” launching on June 18, offering a unique art style reminiscent of Octopath Traveler. Square Enix disclosed the release date for “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth,” scheduled to debut on Switch 2 on June 3, with pre-orders now available.

Capcom showcased trailers for “Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection,” “Pragmata,” and “Resident Evil Requiem,” with release dates of February 27, March 13, and April 24, respectively. Notably, “Turok Hunters” is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in the autumn.

The presentation also highlighted anime-inspired games like “Kyoto Xanadu,” “Digimon Story Time,” and “Stranger Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok.” Retro gaming enthusiasts can anticipate upcoming Arcade Archives games and Console Archives games, starting with “Cool Boarders” and “Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos.”

Furthermore, a variety of third-party ports were announced with specific release dates, including titles such as “Disney Dreamlight Valley – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition,” “PGA Tour 2K25,” “WWE 2K26,” “Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun,” and more.

The Bethesda showcase concluded the event with confirmation of Switch 2 ports for “Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition,” “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered,” and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” each set for release on varying dates in 2026.
