Virgin Media is introducing a major upgrade to its TV platform, offering customers three new bonus channels at no extra cost. These channels, provided by Rakuten, include a drama channel, a comedy channel, and a sci-fi channel. The drama channel features popular movies like The Big Short and JFK, while the comedy channel offers films such as Big Momma’s House and The Internship. The sci-fi channel promises a variety of otherworldly content.

The addition of these channels will be automatic for Virgin TV 360 and Flex customers, requiring no action on their part. The channels will be easily accessible through Virgin Media’s TV guide and can be searched for using voice control. David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the new channels, emphasizing the high-quality entertainment they bring at no extra cost.

With these new additions, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, enriching their viewing options. While a monthly subscription fee is necessary for Virgin Media TV, the enhanced channel lineup offers superior content compared to free services.
