The Toronto Raptors are set to kick off the upcoming NBA season at home, marking the 14th time in the last 15 years they have done so. The NBA released the complete schedule for the 2026-27 season, with the Raptors playing their first game on October 21 against the Chicago Bulls at Scotiabank Arena. Following this, the Raptors will hit the road for their next game against the Washington Wizards two days later.
Some key matchups at home include facing the reigning champions, the New York Knicks, in back-to-back games on November 15 and 17, as well as hosting Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs on December 10 and Canadian standout Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder on March 10. January will be the busiest month for the Raptors, with a total of 17 games scheduled, including a six-game stretch at home. Additionally, the team is slated to play 15 back-to-back games during the season, seven of which will not require any travel.
The schedule includes 80 out of the 82 total games, with the remaining two to be scheduled post the group stage of the in-season NBA Cup competition. Despite the anticipation, the Raptors will not be featured on the prestigious Christmas Day lineup this year. The last time the Raptors played on December 25 was in 2019 when they were the defending NBA champions.
