“Students Score Freebies with A-Level Results”

Thousands of students are set to receive their A-level results today, with a range of freebies up for grabs regardless of the outcome. To avail of these deals, students typically need to present their results slip and student ID, with most offers applicable for dine-in or takeaway orders only. It is important to note that these promotions may not be valid for third-party delivery services, so it’s advisable to check with the restaurant before placing an order. The release of A-level and AS results for students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland is scheduled for August 14, while GCSE results will follow on August 21.

Last year, 27.8% of UK A-level entries achieved A or A* grades, a slight increase from 2023 figures. Meanwhile, students in Scotland operate under a different qualification system and received their results last week. Additionally, students pursuing vocational technical qualifications (VTQs) will also receive their results this month. Level 3 VTQ results, such as BTecs, will be available to students on or before August 14, while Level 2 VTQ results are expected by August 21.

Various restaurants are joining the celebration by offering special deals on A-level results day. Nando’s is providing a 1/4 chicken or starter with a £7 purchase, while Frankie & Benny’s is giving away 50 free margherita or pepperoni pizzas with the purchase of a large soft drink. Students can enjoy a free portion of churros at Las Iguanas and a complimentary starter and dessert at Bella Italia with any main purchase. Other offers include a free dessert at Bill’s, a free matcha latte at Bird & Blend, a free burger from the Proper Burger menu, and freebies at Côte Brasserie, Pizza Express, and Zizzi upon showing their results.
