Sky has revealed upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. Among the adjustments, Sky Showcase and Sky Max will no longer be airing any content starting on Tuesday, February 24. However, in a positive turn, a beloved channel is making a comeback to fill the void left by the departing platforms.
Sky One is poised to launch tomorrow, delivering a rich array of comedy and entertainment programs for subscribers. Noteworthy additions include new series such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, alongside returning favorites like Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted.
Furthermore, Sky One will become the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, scheduled for a later debut this year. Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm about the channel’s revival, emphasizing its role as a vibrant hub for top-tier content.
In addition to the channel launch, Sky has introduced a new subscription plan called Ultimate TV. Priced at £24 per month, customers gain access to an impressive lineup, including Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the soon-to-be-launched HBO Max app. Subscribers can also enjoy over 130 premium channels like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime.
Moreover, users of Sky Cinema will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, offering seamless access to Hollywood hits without needing to open the Disney+ app.
The £24 plan encompasses various services, including Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting in March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (debuting on March 26th), Hayu (available from July with select shows accessible from March), and a vast selection of Sky channels.
With Sky’s continuous efforts to enhance its offerings, customers are in for a treat with the revamped channel lineup and the introduction of the Ultimate TV plan.
