Putin Hails “Unstoppable” Poseidon Underwater Weapon

Vladimir Putin has announced the successful testing of a new highly lethal underwater weapon, which he described as “unstoppable.” The weapon, known as the Poseidon high-speed torpedo, was tested recently and is equipped with a nuclear warhead. It is propelled by its own atomic reactor and has the potential to generate tidal waves and cause devastation to islands and coastal areas, according to Russian experts. The Russian government views this underwater nuclear drone as a critical asset in the event of a global conflict.

Russian state media has advocated for the deployment of the Poseidon against the United Kingdom amid escalating tensions between the two countries. Kremlin-backed television, echoing Putin’s rhetoric, ominously warned that Britain would cease to exist if the Poseidon were unleashed.

A prominent supporter of Putin, Vladimir Solovyov, issued alarming threats, cautioning the British to prepare for the worst. He provocatively stated that Britain would not survive the impact of the Poseidon and suggested that the British should learn to endure underwater conditions. Solovyov went on to describe the Poseidon as a weapon of mass destruction with apocalyptic capabilities.

Despite the heightened tensions, Solovyov suggested the evacuation of Russian diplomats from London and Edinburgh as a precautionary measure against a potential strike. However, he opposed aiding Russian expatriates in London who have turned against their homeland.

Solovyov is among a group of well-paid television personalities who promote Kremlin propaganda and instigate animosity towards Western nations, particularly Britain. Putin himself lauded the Poseidon’s development, highlighting its successful launch from a submarine and activation of its nuclear power plant, which is significantly smaller than conventional submarine reactors.

Putin emphasized the Poseidon’s immense power, surpassing even Russia’s most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile, the Sarmat (also known as Satan-2). The Poseidon is reported to reach speeds of up to 115mph underwater and operate at depths exceeding 3,000ft. It is designed to carry nuclear warheads of up to 100 megatons, posing a severe threat of catastrophic devastation if deployed.
