A maintenance supervisor at Carson Pegasus Provincial Park in Alberta, Chad Dupuis, shared a recent encounter he had while living and working in the forest. After a busy day preparing camping sites, Dupuis returned to his Winnebago to find his steak missing. Initially suspecting a bear, he discovered a hole in the window screen, indicating a small animal had infiltrated his camper and taken the steak. Reflecting on the incident, Dupuis realized the importance of respecting wildlife in their natural habitat. Upon hearing a growl under his bed, he cautiously uncovered a pine marten, a weasel-like creature, which eventually left the camper. Although his dinner plans were disrupted, Dupuis saw the humorous side of the situation and prepared to dine with a sense of humor. This amusing encounter with wildlife served as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of animals in the forest.
