Mother Jailed for Teens’ Deaths in Tragic Crash

A 35-year-old mother of two has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after confessing to causing the deaths of two teenagers in a tragic accident. Natasha Allarakhia admitted guilt to charges of causing death by dangerous driving and serious injury to a passenger by dangerous driving. The incident occurred on the A17 in North Rauceby, Lincs, last year, resulting in the deaths of William Ray, 17, and Eddie Shore, 18, when the Ford Fiesta they were traveling in collided with an Audi Q2. Two other passengers sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

Natasha Allarakhia, residing in Turner Crescent, Norwich, appeared in Lincoln Crown Court and pleaded guilty to the charges related to the deaths of William Ray and Eddie Shore. The judge, James House KC, handed her a 10-year jail term, a driving ban exceeding 12 years, and mandated an extended retest before she can drive again, clarifying that alcohol consumption was not a factor in the crash.

Carre’s Grammar School in Sleaford, where the two teenagers studied, mourned the loss of William and Eddie, describing them as exceptional individuals. William was recognized as a selfless and accomplished student and athlete involved in rugby, football, and gymnastics. He was slated to pursue aerospace engineering at Sheffield University, known for his hardworking and sociable nature.

Eddie was remembered as a down-to-earth and team-oriented individual who cherished life and had plans to study Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Beckett University. A Liverpool FC enthusiast, he was described as selfless and a valuable team player by his school’s headteacher, Nick Law.
