Trump.” Additionally, they proposed naming the plaza in front of the building after Trump and closing a significant portion of the venue for two years to facilitate extensive renovations.
Representative Joyce Beatty, an Ohio Democrat and ex-officio board member, and her legal team characterized these actions as a significant challenge to U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper’s previous rulings. Cooper had earlier determined that the addition of letters spelling out Trump’s name on the building was unauthorized and ordered their removal, a decision upheld despite attempts by the Republican administration to reverse it. Moreover, Cooper had halted a planned two-year closure of the center, criticizing the board’s decision as lacking proper consideration.
