“Grounded 2 Update Introduces New Biome and Creatures”

Grounded 2 has taken an intriguing turn with its latest significant update following its initial release in early access back in 2025.

Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind Fallout New Vegas, has rolled out a substantial update for the Xbox sequel titled Toxic Tangle. This update introduces a range of new elements, including the introduction of a unique ‘tank’ feature.

Among the new additions is the ability to ride the iconic ladybug in the game, which comes equipped with a water cannon for combating pests and clearing away Tang residue. Known as the Ladybug Buggy, this robust mount can also charge into foes head-on and gradually regenerate health.

The update also unveils a fresh biome called the Garden, beckoning players to explore its vast expanse. The Garden features a plethora of secrets, adversaries, and more for players to discover.

Players can now encounter new creatures like the Earwigs, Potato Beetles, and Woolly Aphid, providing them with exciting challenges. Additionally, there are hints of beloved characters making a return.

Teasers suggest the reappearance of the Masked Stranger and the Snake Colossus. Moreover, an updated mutation system allows for enhanced customization, while new builders toolkits are now accessible.

Per information from an Xbox Wire blog, the Toxic Tangle update promises an intriguing narrative: “Ominent’s experiments have taken a dark turn, leading to the spread of an unusual corruption across Brookhollow Park.

“Tang has tainted the land, seeped into the water, and clings to unsuspecting creatures. It’s now up to you to survive the mysterious events unfolding beneath the surface.

“Enter The Toxic Tangle, the primary content update for Grounded 2, now accessible to all players.

“This update expands the park with a new biome, fresh creatures, armor, weapons, trinkets, building sets, and potential threats that may pose more danger than assumed.

“The Garden MIX.R and O.R.C. wave challenges are now active, awaiting those daring enough to tackle the swarm.

“Furthermore, the Founder’s Pack has grown with this update, introducing new base-building items such as the High Roller’s Dice Bag, Champion’s Banner, and various options to personalize your park adventure.”

Obsidian has also announced the imminent return of Playgrounds Mode as Grounded 2 progresses into the public test beta phase in February.

Grounded 2 is accessible through Game Preview on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox on PC, as well as through early access on Steam.
