Originally planned to coincide with her 80th birthday, the event was postponed due to health issues. Despite the iconic singer’s recent passing, her estate has confirmed that the festival will proceed as a “star-studded” affair over two consecutive weekends.

Acknowledging Parton’s significant contributions to music and philanthropy, the festival aims to embody the vibrant spirit she was known for. While details about specific dates and performers are yet to be disclosed, organizer Danny Nozell expressed a commitment to honoring Parton’s legacy authentically.

In addition to Dollyfest, various tributes have emerged following the singer’s demise, highlighting her impact on diverse communities. Dollywood, the theme park she established, will introduce new features in her honor, including guest kiosks for sharing memories and a special exhibit reflecting her influence.

Sevierville, Parton’s hometown, is launching “In Dolly’s Footsteps,” a project in collaboration with Dollywood that will include walking-tour markers at significant locations in her life story. These initiatives collectively pay homage to the enduring legacy of the beloved country music icon.
