“Alberta Storm Alert Lifted as Threat Subsides”

Environment Canada has rescinded a yellow alert for severe weather following a storm that traversed parts of southern Alberta. The agency cautioned about the potential for damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. Initially, the warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, highlighted the threat of a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing destruction to buildings and trees.

A yellow watch for severe thunderstorms remained active across a significant portion of the region from Claresholm east to Hays, extending south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are encouraged to visit the Environment Canada website.
