“Sony’s PlayStation State of Play 2026: Game Announcements & Updates”

Sony has officially announced the first PlayStation State of Play event for 2026. This event, similar to Nintendo Direct, will showcase new game announcements, release dates, gameplay footage, and updates on services like PS Plus.

The State of Play event will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. The presentation will last over 60 minutes on the evening of February 12, starting at 10pm GMT in the UK and ending just after 11pm GMT. For viewers in the US, the event will start at 2pm PT / 5pm ET, and for European fans, it will begin at 11pm CET.

During the event, Sony will unveil the February PS Plus Extra and Premium games. Some games, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and Neva, have already been leaked. Additional game announcements, including the Premium lineup, will be made at the event.

Furthermore, Sony will present new details and footage of the upcoming shooter, Marathon, developed by Bungie, set to launch on March 5. There will also be a separate livestream after the State of Play event for Marathon.

Fans can also anticipate a possible appearance of Resident Evil Requiem during the event, with a chance of Capcom releasing a demo following the presentation. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, hinted at through a premature update on its Steam page, may also be previewed, potentially revealing a release date.

Rumors suggest that the original Kingdom Come Deliverance is getting a PS5 upgrade, likely to be announced at the event. While other games like Saros are expected to be showcased, Marvel’s Wolverine, as indicated by developer Insomniac Games, will not be featured during the event.
