Season 2 of Call of Duty Warzone has arrived, bringing exciting new gameplay options to the popular Battle Royale mode. The update, also impacting Black Ops 7, introduces a variety of fresh weapons and significant changes to Rebirth Island, along with enhancements to the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system.
The Season 2 update for Warzone is scheduled to launch at 5pm GMT on February 5, 2026. Players are advised to download the update before accessing the new content. PC users on Battle.net can already preload the 41GB patch, while Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox players will need to wait until the update goes live to begin their downloads, each expected to be around 40GB in size.
Among the new features in Season 2 is the introduction of Ranked Play, allowing competitive players to challenge others and climb the leaderboards. Additionally, players can look forward to engaging in various limited-time modes, many of which will be hosted on the snow-covered Rebirth Island, now featuring a massive Turbine on its north coast.
A new dynamic element in the gameplay is the world event of gas explosions occurring randomly on the map, prompting players to adapt their strategies on the go. For detailed information, players can refer to the Warzone Season 2 patch notes available on the Call of Duty blog.
The update rollout is set for 5pm GMT today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
