Helen Flanagan has emotionally opened up about her brief relationship with boxer David Haye, refuting any claims of being part of a “throuple.”

The former Coronation Street actress, aged 35, and the 45-year-old boxer first met on the reality show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2012 but only started a romantic involvement many years later.

Their dynamic took a turn when David, who is in an open relationship with Sian Osbourne, invited Helen to join him and his partner at a boxing event in Wembley. In her recent book release, “Head and Heart,” she acknowledged being aware of their association with “throuples.”

Despite engaging in a relationship with David, Helen clarified that her interest was solely in him, stating, “I’m not a prude, but I’ve never been into that – it was David I liked.”

During an interview discussing her book, Helen detailed her connection with David, emphasizing that it was solely between the two of them and not a “throuple” situation. She dismissed the notion firmly, highlighting her exclusive bond with David.

In her memoir, Helen recounted a poignant moment of buying a Cartier Trinity bracelet for David’s birthday and delivering it to his hotel room, a gesture that stirred emotions during questioning. Reflecting on her actions, she expressed vulnerability and introspection.

Helen, who split from boyfriend Robbie Talbot in the previous year, emphasized her dedication to raising her three children with her former partner Scott, following their separation four years ago.

She described her experience with David as a “situationship,” emphasizing her feelings for him and her personal boundaries regarding relationships. Despite the complexities of their connection, she expressed remorse and self-reflection over the impact on David’s partner, Sian.

Helen revealed her emotional struggles post-breakup, acknowledging the challenges of loneliness and the complexities of falling in love unexpectedly. She stressed that she was committed to her growth and self-love moving forward.
