Scottish TV personality Lorraine Kelly expressed deep sorrow as she announced the departure of her ITV colleague during a live broadcast of her morning show. She shared with viewers on Thursday that the presenter of the Lorraine show would be leaving soon due to recent ITV schedule changes following budget cuts.
Lorraine sadly disclosed that it was the final day for former Strictly contestant Tyler West to host the entertainment segment on her show. Tyler, who is set to become the new host of the KISS FM Breakfast show alongside Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, explained that he could no longer continue his role on Lorraine’s morning program.
The morning slot on KISS FM, previously hosted by Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely since 2020, saw Tyler stepping in after the duo unexpectedly resigned in December. Tyler expressed his excitement for the new role, promising listeners a fun-filled morning with great music on the show.
Competing with popular radio programs like Radio 1 Breakfast and Capital Breakfast, Tyler’s show on KISS FM aims to offer a unique and engaging listening experience. Tyler’s recent success on Celebrity Race Across the World, where he finished as runner-up alongside his fiancée, EastEnders actress Molly Rainford, has further boosted his profile.
The pair narrowly missed winning the competition, finishing just two minutes behind the winners after an adventurous 33-day journey covering 5,900km through Central America without phones and on a strict budget.
