A specialist in lip-reading has uncovered a tense moment within the Beckham family during the premiere of David Beckham’s documentary series. Recently resurfaced video footage from the star-studded event is under fresh scrutiny following surprising statements made by Brooklyn Beckham on Instagram Stories.

Partnering with Covers.com, forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling analyzed clips from the red-carpet event held in London in October 2023. The Beckham couple, David aged 50 and Victoria aged 51, attended the event accompanied by their four children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.

In the footage, Brooklyn is seen quietly speaking to Romeo, with Nicola suggesting that he mouthed the words “I hated it.” This comment may refer to a recent incident, possibly indicating Brooklyn’s discomfort standing next to his parents for photos or a previous interaction where David seemed to pull away when Brooklyn extended his hand, followed by Brooklyn mentioning “She’s in tears.”

Observing Brooklyn’s gaze towards his wife, Nicola interprets it as a reference to Nicola Peltz Beckham. She notes that Brooklyn appears strained, trying to maintain a composed exterior despite underlying tension. Victoria is also seen giving a stern warning to Cruz and Harper at the photo wall, implying consequences if they misbehave.

Victoria’s visible tension when Brooklyn and Nicola approach the wall is noticeable, with her looking past them. Additionally, a lip reader caught Victoria partially concealing her mouth while describing the situation as a “nightmare,” possibly in reference to Brooklyn and Nicola.

There has been no public response from either Victoria or David regarding Brooklyn’s statements.
